About
Experienced. Trustworthy. Reliable.
Located in Goochland, Dr. Fowler has spent her 30-year career assisting students and families in rural and suburban locations in central Virginia in setting goals and creating a plan to attain them. From her early years as a high school English teacher and department chair to her later work as a high school Director of School Counseling and Advanced Programs administrator in a public school division, overseeing admission to elite regional programs and rigorous associate's degree pathways, Beth has always prided herself on the relationships she builds with families and students. Now, as a retired educator, she looks forward to continuing this work with a small clientele to whom she can provide extremely personalized service. She loves to get to know her students' passions and priorities and connecting them to opportunities and avenues they may not otherwise know exist. With an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Richmond and both a masters and doctorate from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Education, Beth's academic credentials match her professional ones, uniquely positioning her to serve the students of central Virginia with veteran knowledge related to competitive college admission.
With this in mind, Beth Fowler has founded Clear Path College Consulting. Through it, she aims to offer a small, boutique college counseling experience to 15–20 students annually. Capping the client load allows Clear Path to offer premium, high-touch access, whether you are simply charting a course for the next four years, creating a list of target universities, or seeking help with crafting the strongest application and essay possible for the upcoming application cycle. With Dr. Fowler's extensive experience with regional flagship universities and high-demand SEC and ACC schools, she stands ready to assist students in applications to these institutions, as well as others. Clear Path can help rural and suburban Virginia high schoolers stand out at the college of their choice or bring the ideal college options into focus.
